Brittany Elder

Assistant technician

Cats-dogs and other small animals

Brittany has lived in Hinchinbrooke her whole life until she moved to Franklin 5 years ago.

She received her Associate Agriculture diploma from the University of Guelph in 2010.  She also has a certificate in animal care and is a certified western riding instructor.  In February of 2017, she completed a certification as a Canine massage therapist.

Brittany always wanted to work with animals! She worked in a mixed animal practice as a veterinary assistant for 4 years before taking some time off for maternity leave.  She joined our team in April 2017 where she works as an assistant technician.  She is hoping to one day be able to offer the canine massage therapy service at HVO.  In the mean time, her experience and gentle touch help the patients feel relaxed and comfortable!

Her favourite place to be is at home with her family, her 2 boxers and her Quarter Horse.

Since 2019, Brittany is a certified professional in « Fear Free », an approch that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of animals.
