Real-Time Pet Disease Reporting
May 10th 2016
Here is the Real-Time Pet Disease Reporting website. It has been designed to offer the Canadian public and the veterinary healthcare profession timely, searchable data, helping to assess the potential risks of infectious diseases. You will find an interactive map that will allow you to know the total numbers of positive tests for different diseases, such has lyme disease, leptospirosis, heartworm, anaplasmosis and ehrlichiosis. You can search by postal code and year for each disease. Note that in Ormstown for the year 2015, 47 dogs tested positive for lyme disease and 7 tested positive for Heartworm. Contact your veterinarian for information on how to prevent these diseases.
